Party Nuts
Deviled Nuts
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups assorted unsalted nuts
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.; cook and stir nuts in hot oil 2-3 minutes until browned. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl. Sprinkle over nuts- stir to coat evenly. Heat 1-2 minutes more. Drain nuts on wire rack lined with paper towels.
Best served warm.
Makes 2 cups
Rosemary Cashews
1 1/4 pounds cashews (about 4 cups)
2 Tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt or sea salt
1 Tablespoon melted butter
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place cashews on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until they are warmed through. Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Toss the warm nuts with the rosemary mixture until completely coated.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
