Products are shipped using Ground Shipping with either UPS, FED EX or USPS, whichever has the lowest rates. The Buyer pays for shipping. Shipping amounts are calculated according to number and weight of items purchased. Items coming from New Zealand go Air Mail and have a flat fee of $4.50 for up to five items. Many of the products on this site are made in co-operatives in China, Nepal and India. Co-ops offer workers fair wages for their work. Money earned goes towards educating families and for better living conditions. All the Global Crafts items are Fair Trade. Fair Trade is an organized social movement which promotes standards for international labor, environmentalism, and social policy in areas related to production of Fair Trade labeled and unlabeled goods. The movement focuses in particular on exports from developing countries to developed countries. All Handmade Glass products are made from recycled glass. All profits from Aurora are returned to the community in the form of assistance for homeless and low-income people through emergency services, housing, jobs, training, and other charitable endeavors.
