A wonderfully refreshing beverage
October, 2007 "How To" of the MonthThis tea is wonderful any time of the year. It will no doubt become one of your favorite recipes. In the cooler months, try it heated. It is marvelous cold or hot.
Delicious Fruit Tea 15 min prep
14 servings (3 1/2 quarts) | 12 | cups water, divided | | 1 1/2 | cups sugar | | 10 | individual tea bags | | 1 | (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed | | 1 | (12 ounce) can frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate, thawed | 20 Servings | 17 | cups water, divided | | 2 1/4 | cups sugar | | 13 | individual tea bags | | 1 1/2 | (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed | | 1 1/2 | (12 ounce) can frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate, thawed |
24 servings (6 quarts) | 21 | cups water, divided | | 2 5/8 | cups sugar | | 20 | individual tea bags | | 2 | (12 ounce) cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed | | 2 | (12 ounce) cans frozen pineapple-orange juice concentrate, thawed | - In a Dutch oven, bring 4 cups water to a boil. Stir in sugar until dissolved.
- Remove from the heat; add tea bags. Steep for 8 minutes. Discard tea bags.
- Stir in juice concentrates and remaining water. Serve over ice or heated.
If you like more of a tea taste than fruit taste, increase amount of water and tea bags accordingly. Increasing the tea amount results in a drink that is not as sweet.
